Beyonce Knowles still has love for her girls! The “Run the World (Girls)” singer showed up in support of her fellow Destiny’s Child gal pal Kelly Rowland‘s release of her album Here I Am. The party was held at the Standard Hotel in NYC on Tuesday night, and also in attendance was the third lady to make up the “Bootylicious” supergroup, Michelle Williams!
In true Destiny’s Child form, the women were all dressed alike in black ensembles but all put their own twist on their party outfits. Beyonce wore a one-shoulder jumpsuit that she belted at the waist, while guest of honor Kelly went for a sexier style, stepping out in a skin tight dress. Meanwhile, Michelle showed off her gams in a little black minidress.
Beyoncé to Perform on ‘The View’ and ‘Jimmy Fallon’ This Week
Beyoncé is ramping up her promo in the U.S. The music superstar has been booked to perform on two talk shows this week.
B will chat with the ladies of “The View” on Thursday and perform “Best Thing I Never Had” and “1+1” off her chart-topping album 4, which is currently No. 5 in the country.
Later that same evening, she will stop by NBC’s “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” to once again sing “Best Thing I Never Had,” but this time she will be backed by house band The Roots.
The 29-year-old singer, who is nominated for three awards at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards, will star in the upcoming remake of A Star Is Born directed by Clint Eastwood.
“I’m slightly a bit intimated, I have to say,” she told PrideSource of her latest film role. “I feel a bit overwhelmed, and I’m still in shock. But the studio and Clint believe in me, and I feel like I’ve been really selective and I’ve waited and worked really hard and I’ve done different types of movies—from comedies to thrillers to drama when I played Etta James—and I really wanted to make sure I was ready.”
Beyonce Knowles is planning to release a cook book of soul food recipes inspired by her mother Tina.
Beyonce Knowles wants to release her own cook book.
The ‘Best Thing I Never Had’ singer is keen to create a culinary guide which contains her mother Tina’s soul food recipes and is confident it would be very popular.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Her mum Tina started the tradition whereby anywhere in the world they are, she always puts on a soul food spread of collard greens, cornbread, mac ‘n’ cheese and fried chicken. Beyonce would love to include these family recipes in a book.”
Beyonce is being encouraged to go ahead with her cook book plans by her good friend Gwyneth Paltrow.
The ‘Iron Man’ actress - whose husband Chris Martin is pals with Beyonce’s spouse Jay-Z - has released her own kitchen tome, ‘My Father’s Daughter: Delicious, Easy Recipes Celebrating Family & Togetherness’, and thinks the R&B star should follow in her footsteps.
The source added: “As she (Beyonce) thinks about a family, she’s spoken about this with Gwyn and is raring to go.”
Despite having a passion for food, Beyonce has previously admitted she isn’t the greatest cook, but tries her best and has mastered creations with one ingredient.
She said: “I took a year off and I even did some cooking, although I didn’t really enjoy that. I’m not the greatest cook - I can do things with oxtail, though.”
'I love Beyoncé's booty!' How the Single Ladies singer helps Kim Kardashian keep her killer curves
In a town of waif-like women, the hourglass figure of curvy reality star Kim Kardashian must stand out a mile.
The Hollywood-based star has attracted much press for her curves - and almost as much attention for the subsequent weight loss that took her from a U.S. size 6 to a size 2 last year.
But as she prepares for her upcoming nuptials to NBA star Kris Humphries and has the final touches put to her figure-hugging Vera Wang dress, Kim Kardashian couldn’t care less about negative attention.
Dismissing her critics, Kim says she embraces her curves and ’loves her butt’.
I’ve never aspired to be a size zero,’ she says in this month’s Health & Fitness magazine. ‘Dress sizes are just a number. I love the curvy look, and I especially love my butt.
'I do squats and lunges to accentuate it.'
Keeping her voluptuous figure trim does not come without hard work.
But despite her impending wedding giving her more drive to stay in shape, Kim admits she’s not always in the mood to exercise, and has to resort to her secret weapon to stay motivated: channeling the bootylicious body of singer Beyoncé.
When I can’t be bothered I just think Beyoncé, Beyoncé, Beyoncé! I think her curves are beautiful.
Beyonce Calls 'A Star Is Born' Her 'Biggest Opportunity'
Just call Beyoncé an overachiever. Despite having a shelf full of Grammys (16, to be exact), a string of movie roles under her belt and a catalog of sing-a-long hits, the pop superstar has recently scored the lead role in Clint Eastwood’s remake of “A Star Is Born,” an opportunity she calls “the biggest opportunity of my life.”
Speaking with Reuters, B opened up about the iconic movie role (previously played by Barbra Streisand and Judy Garland), sharing her jitters about the first time she met Hollywood heavyweight Eastwood.
"I met with Clint and I was so nervous and I know that it is the biggest opportunity of my life," she said. "I will work as hard as I can, because I can’t wait. And I am so happy that he trusts me and I am in good hands and I am so fortunate."
B’s resume résumé is filled with singing-superstar roles in flicks like “Dreamgirls,” “Cadillac Records” and “The Fighting Temptations,” so she won’t be straying too far from familiar territory with “A Star Is Born.” However, after years of watching earlier versions of the film, the big-voiced diva said she understands she has big shoes to fill.
"It’s when I became a fan of Barbra Streisand’s. And I then saw Judy Garland’s version of ‘A Star Is Born,’ and I realized every 20 to 30 years, a new star is born and a new talent represents that generation and era — so I didn’t think that I would ever get the opportunity to be the star," she explained.
There’s still no confirmation on which actor will play opposite the singer, but it has been rumored that Leonardo DiCaprio may snag the role for the Warner Bros. film. Shooting is set to begin at the end of the year.
