What’s better than singing along to your favorite artists’ tunes with a good pal? When the superstars crash your karaoke party and sing along with you!
This really happened to two young ladies late Tuesday into early Wednesday at the Sing Sing karaoke bar in Miami. According to a post that was originally shared on the bar’s Facebook page, while the women were doing their best version of Beyonce’s “Party,” the singer herself and fellow Destiny’s Child member Kelly Rowland walked in and started singing and dancing along with them. (Beyonce’s rep also confirmed the tale to TODAY.)
The “Single Ladies” singer, husband Jay Z and some friends were in a nearby VIP room next door and decided to join in when they heard Beyonce’s song.
Bar owner Kellie Pilicer told the Miami New Times that when the stars walked into the young ladies’ room, it seemed the girls had no idea who they were. “They start dancing together, but they have no idea who it is,” said Pilicer, who watched the crash go down. “All of a sudden, one of the girls looks at Kelly and says, ‘Oh, you look like Kelly Rowland,’ and she looks at Beyonce and goes, ‘Oh my god!’”
The former Destiny’s Child members later posed for photos with the two ladies, including a quick snapshot with their friend who was asleep in the room.
Pilicer was surprised to see the famous faces at her establishment.
"A big security-looking guy walked in and asked us what time we closed," Pilicer told the publication, noting that the group arrived around midnight. "I’m thinking he’s going to come in with maybe a couple of other people and then all of a sudden, a couple of people wearing hoodies do start trickling in and one woman comes up and asks me where the bathroom is and I look up and it’s freaking Beyonce."
