Beyonce paid tribute to Whitney Houston as she returned to the stage for the first time since becoming a mom, singing the late superstar’s hit “I Will Always Love You.”
The “Crazy In Love” star took to the stage in Atlantic City, N.J., on Friday night for the first of four consecutive gigs at the newly launched Revel resort, her first shows since giving birth to daughter Blue Ivy in January.
She ran through a slew of her hits, including “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It),” “Irreplaceable,” “Halo” and “If I Were a Boy,” and told the audience, “I gotta say, it feels so good to be back home on stage.”
And partway through the show, Beyonce gave a nod to her idol Houston by belting out one of her biggest songs.
Beyonce’s husband Jay-Z proudly watched on as his wife thrilled fans in the audience, and he took to his Twitter.com account to declare, “I’m gonna say this… BEYONCE is the best performer in the world. Period.”

Beyonce Shines At First Post-Baby Concert
It’s the return of Sasha Fierce!
Beyonce took to the stage at Revel resort in Atlantic City on Friday for her first concert since giving birth to baby Blue Ivy in January.
Clad in a one-of-a-kind, skin-baring Ralph & Russo design, the 30-year-old superstar was in fine form for her triumphant return.
Beyonce performed with incredible energy and stamina, according to The New York Times, and treated fans to rousing versions of “Run the World (Girls),” “Single Ladies,” “Countdown” and “Halo,” among others.
The show lasted two hours, The NY Times reported, and included a quick home video flash featuring Beyonce holding Blue Ivy.
And Beyonce’s not the only one working hard in the Knowles-Carter household — her husband, Jay-Z, will head back into the studio with Kanye West for a sequel to their collaboration “Watch the Throne” according to Mike Dean, a producer on the first album.
“I’m working on the G.O.O.D. Music album, of course,” Mike said in a new interview with Quiet Lunch magazine. “And ‘Watch The Throne 2’ — it’s not started yet, but it’s coming.”

Beyonce will hit the stage for her first performance in over a year at Revel Resorts & Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey!
According to one of her dancers, Ashley Everett, they’re in AC and working hard to prepare for the show. Anthony Burrell, who recently costarred in the movie, The Skinny, will also be performing as one of Beyonce’s back-up dancers. It looks like motha Bey is playing NO games with this comeback, and I’m excited to see what she has in store for her fans.

Beyonce Tributes Bee Gees Singer Robin Gibb
source: idolator
After the passing of Bee Gees star Robin Gibb on Sunday at the age of 62, there’s been an outpouring of online tributes from the singer’s pop peers. The latest comes from Beyonce, who, as a member of Destiny’s Child, covered Australian artist Samantha Sang’s 1977 hit “Emotion”. The song was written by Robin and his brother Barry Gibb, and the original version sailed to #3 on the Hot 100 during the height of the Bee Gees’ success. (The Gibb backing vocals on the chorus are unmistakeable.)
Head below to read Beyonce’s words about Robin, and to flash back to Destiny’s Child’s cover of “Emotion”.
Beyonce noted the following on her official site:
The Bee Gees were an early inspiration for me, Kelly and Michelle. We loved their songwriting and beautiful harmonies. Recording their classic song, “Emotion,” was a special time for Destiny’s Child. Sadly we lost Robin Gibb this week. My heart goes out to his brother Barry and the rest of his family.

Pop star Lady Gaga, left, arrives at the concert venue before his performance in suburban Pasay, south of Manila, Philippines Monday May 21, 2012. Authorities in the conservative, majority Roman Catholic country approved the concerts, set for May 21, and Tuesday, but said they won’t allow nudity or lewd acts. A religious group warned they will sue Lady Gaga and concert organizers if she sings “Judas” during her concert. AP/Aaron Favila
MANILA, Philippines—Lady Gaga was performing a second sold-out show Tuesday night amid continued protest against her music that some Filipino Christians find immoral.
“Sold out night 2 in the Philippines. I love it here!” tweeted the pop diva.
Some Christian youths called for her concerts to be banned. Catholic Archbishop Ramon Arguelles warned that her fans are in danger of falling into the clutches of Satan.
“And don’t worry, if I get thrown in jail in Manila, Beyonce will just bail me out,” said Lady Gaga.
