Jay-Z and Beyonce have made sure their baby daughter has a luxury hang-out when mom and dad are watching the Brooklyn Nets by shelling out $1 million a year to rent a pricey nursery at the team’s sports arena.
The “Empire State of Mind” hitmaker, who is a part-owner of the basketball franchise, and his wife are regulars at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, where Jay-Z rang in the New Year on stage with Coldplay, and to avoid straying too far from little Blue Ivy, who turns one on Monday, the couple has agreed to splash out on a custom suite, complete with toys and a crib, for the toddler, according to reports.
A source tells UsMagazine.com, “Jay rents a luxurious basement suite for $1 million a year. It has an area for Blue filled with toys.”
The VIP space also serves as a party place for entertaining the pair’s pals: “It’s all glass with a champagne bar and TV screen. Jay lets friends use his digs when he’s not there.”
